Antique Emporium Grand Re-Opening Was a Success!!

(Beaver Falls, PA) Antique Emporium has been open for many years on 7th Avenue in Beaver Falls, today Beaver County Radio helped out the new owners Bill Antonacceo and Brandt Toward along with the rest of the rest of the city of Beaver Falls help celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of the store.  Antonacceo and Toward also own Ascendant Auction Galleries LLC located on College Avenue in Beaver Falls and now just bought Antique Emporium.

Beaver County Radio joined the party on May 31, 2019 on the day of the re-opening. Eddy Crow and Bill Antonacceo talked about the store, deals, offers and the new look of the store from 10-Noon. The Re-Opening brought in many customers to the new store and the had a chance to look at all the items for sale in the store. From Pin-Ball Machines to action figures to music records and everything in between that makes Antique Emporium Beaver County’s number one Antique and Collectible store.

Located at 818 7th Avenue in Beaver Falls the new owners, Bill Antonacceo and Brant Toward want you to know where to go for all your collectible and Antique needs.

Sebastian & Egley Join Jim Roddey For “Best Of Beaver County”

As always, the Best of Beaver County isn’t hard to find…as long as you’re tuned into Beaver County Radio. “The Best of Beaver County” is an innovative radio program on WBVP and WMBA presented by St. Barnabas. St. Barnabas spokesperson Jim Roddey once again had on a pair of guests that wouldn’t make Beaver County what it is today without their contributions.

Today’s show featured restaurateur Alex Sebastian from the Wooden Angel in Bridgewater, as he talked about his time spent in the Navy, history with finding the best wines around the world and the process of serving them right here in Beaver County. He also talked about the history of the Wooden Angel, as well as some of the prestigious names that have dined there.

Then in the second segment, Jim was joined by current County Commissioner Sandie Egley, who is also currently running for County Treasurer in November of 2019. Sandie discussed her life & political career up to this point, and talked about why she is pursuing her current position. She also spoke about the current rise of women in powerful positions in Beaver & surrounding counties, and how she is proud to be a part of that.

10th Annual Rochester Chili Cook-Off Displays Some Good Taste

As per annual tradition, several local businesses (including Beaver County Radio) brought their chili out to the 2019 Rochester Chili Cook-Off on May 22 at the Brady’s Run Lodge. WBVP/WMBA–along with Nesmith Catering, D&G Pizza of Center, Summertime’s Feel Good Foods, and Brady’s Run Grille–competed for top honors by the judges as well by the dozens in attendance. Summertime’s was the big dog on campus this time around, winning both the Judges’ and People’s Choice awards.

“Meet the Candidates” Cebran “CB” Netherland, Republican Candidate for Beaver County Treasurer

(Beaver Falls, Pa.) As a part of the continuing series too meet the candidates running for office Frank Sparks, host of Teleforum, was joined by Cebran “CB” Netherland who is running on the Republican ticket for Beaver County Treasurer  in the 11 o’clock hour.

CB talked about his life growing up in Beaver County and graduating from Blackhawk High School. He told the listeners about his family and how family is important to him. Netherland is the current first deputy to current Beaver County Treasurer Connie Javens who is not seeking another term and plans on retiring after a 25 plus year run as Treasurer. He talked about his career working in the Treasurer’s office and why he feels he is the most qualified candidate for the position. CB likes the way the current office is ran and would like to do a couple upgrades of current technology id elected Treasurer.  A couple of the things he mentioned would be applying for yearly dog licenses on line and having a conversations with the Commissioners about the possibility of making  it so you could pay your county property tax into three payments like some municipalities and schools do.

Netherland is running against current Beaver County Commissioner Sandie Egley who chose not to seek another term as a Commissioner and is also seeking to become Beaver County Treasurer. The two are on the Republican ticket and the winner of tomorrow’s primary election will face off against Democrat Lori Bohach, who is running unopposed,  in the general election  on November 5, 2019.

Frank interviewed two of the three candidates, Cebran Netherland and Lori Bohach,  on Teleforum.  All candidates running for office were invited to schedule an interview with Frank.
