Pens rebound with 2-1 overtime win!!!

The Pittsburgh Penquins we’re back on the ice hosting the Edmonton Oilers after getting blown out Saturday in Tampa Bay 7-1. After two scoreless periods that featured dominating goalie play from both teams the Pens got on the board first with a goal from Ian Cole his first of the season with a little over three minutes gone in the third period.  Riley Sheahan in his first game as a Pen and Ryan Reaves assisted on the goal. At the 17:03 mark of the third period Connor McDavid scored his fourth goal of the season to tie up the game. The game then went to overtime when Phil Kessel took a break away pass from Geno Malkin and buried it home just 42 seconds into the session giving the Pens the 2-1 victory. The Pens are now 6-3-1 on the season. They will next be in action on Thursday night hosting the Winnepeg Jets at PPG Paints Arena.  Edmonton falls to 2-5-1 on the season.

Mike Tomlin’s talks Bengals, Bryant, and Lions in weekly press conference

Pittsburgh Steelers Head Coach Mike Tomlin held his weekly press conference on Beaver County Radio and the Steelers Radio Network at twelve noon today. Coach Tomlin talked about the dominant win the Steelers had over the Bengals last Sunday. Click on the play button below to hear his comments……

Coach Tomlin said that while Bryant has come along way at being the way the Steelers want him to be his recent post on social media shows that he still has a long way to go. The Pittsburgh Steelers travel to Detroit to take on the Lions at Ford Field on Sunday Night. The Pre-game gets under way on the Steelers Radio Network and Beaver County Radio at 6:30 pm with kick-off scheduled for just after 8:30 pm.

 

 

UPDATE: New Brighton Police Department Releases New Details Into Home Burglaries

UPDATE: The New Brighton Area Police Department continues to seek information into a burglary and several attempted burglaries occurring within the borough during the late evening and into earlier morning hours. Police are investigating a reported burglary that occurred in the 700 block of 10th Street on October 21st. The residents reported an unknown male entered the home while several other guests were at the home for a Halloween party. A video surveillance camera captured images of the male actor entering the residence. The victims reported having an undetermined amount of money taken from the home. The suspect is described as a taller light skin black male, approximately 25 to 30 years old, having a mustache and chin hair. The attached image is for the 10th Street burglary and one additional attempted burglary. Police request residents to call 911 and report any suspicious activity. Beaver County School Administrator Resigns After Domestic Violence Allegation

A Beaver County school administrator has reportedly resigned his position after being charged with a domestic violence allegation. Reports have surfaced that Robert Lee Jr., who is the curriculum director for the Central Valley school district, was charged with simple assault and harassment earlier this month. According to a police report, Lee threw his wife to the ground several times, hitting her head. The report says that she was bleeding and holding her head when officers arrived at their home. According to police, Lee dragged her across the floor and threw a vacuum cleaner at her while she was still on the ground. She was taken to the hospital for lacerations and contusions to her head. Lee had been with the district for four years. His preliminary hearing is set for Oct. 26.

Prosecution Rests In Beaver Falls Homicide Trial

THE PROSECUTION HAS RESTED ITS CASE IN A BEAVER FALLS HOMICIDE TRIAL. 25-YEAR-OLD TYRONE “KUNTA” SAVAGE IS ON TRIAL FOR THE OCTOBER 2016 SHOOTING DEATH OF 25-YEAR-OLD JUSTIN SIMMONS. THE DEFENSE WILL HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO PRESENT EVIDENCE…AND CLOSING ARGUMENTS ARE EXPECTED TO BEGIN TODAY.

Police: Man Stealing From New Brighton Homes While Residents Still Inside

Police are looking for a man who is stealing from houses in New Brighton while people are still home. Surveillance photos released by the police department show the man fidgeting with the front door of one home as he tried to get inside. A large sum of money was taken from that home.
