Woman Rescued By Conway Fire Department

A woman is recovering at a hospital and she has three firefighters to thank for rescuing her in Conway.  The crew from the Conway Fire Department were on their way to a different fire when they saw a crashed car.  They say flames were shooting up as they worked to pull a woman out.  She was taken to a hospital for treatment.  It’s unclear what caused the crash or if anyone else was involved.

One Person Hospitalized After Aliquippa Shooting

At least one person is hurt after a stabbing during a home invasion in Aliquippa overnight. According to 911 dispatchers, police say the incident started around midnight at a residence in the 1800 block of Main Street in the city. Police say three masked men dressed in black,  who had weapons, went inside the home where there were two men and one woman. Police say the three suspects got into a fight with the two male victims and the altercation continued into the street. The two victims, according to police, were beating on one of the intruders and stabbed him in the driveway. The two other suspects took off in a white vehicle, while the man who was stabbed was flown to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. His condition has not been released, but his injuries are said to be non life threatening. Police say the investigation is continuing.
