(Beaver County, PA) Members of Echo Valley, a trio of sisters from Enon Valley appeared on A.M. Beaver County on Friday July 15, 2016 to promote the Enon valley Community Day and Bluegrass Festival. Emily Anderson, Isabelle Anderson, Event organizer Howard “Hap” Wychrick , and Elizabeth Anderson delighted listeners on the show with a special live in studio performance. The event is happening Saturday July 16 starting at noon at The Enon Valley Borough Park at 341 Cherry Alley in Enon Valley. Musicians include Border Ride, South 79, Keep Off the Grass, Echo Valley, Mule Factory and more. Entertainment throughout the day. Includes parade at 10 a.m., vendors, crafters, Civil War encampment. Proceeds benefit Enon Valley Community Historical Society.

(Beaver County, PA) Employers in the manufacturing and construction sectors got some good news over the airwaves on Wednesday. Ami Gatts, Director of the Southwest Corner Workforce Development Board, was a special guest on “A.M. Beaver County” and talked about special government funding that is now available for employee training. The Program, which runs through June 30 is available in Beaver, Green and Washington Counties. Gatts commented about how this is a fantastic way for companies to improve the skill levels and efficiency of their human resources without having to invest huge amounts of money themselves in specialized training. Corridors of Opportunity coming to Beaver County

Shovlin returns to WBVP and WMBA
(Beaver County, PA) Beaver County broadcasting legend and former WBVP and WMBA talk show host and sports anchor, Chris Shovlin appeared as a special guest on “A.M. Beaver County“. Shovlin, who now serves as the Community Engagement Manager for Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center, talked about the positive benefits of Charter schools for the community and the students who attend, and how Cyber and Charter schools are legally established public schools in Pennsylvania. Shovlin spoke at length with show host Al Goehring about the opportunities that charter schools like Lincoln Park provide for area students.
