Penguins Preview: November 1, 2017

The Penguins head into Rogers Place tonight in Edmonton to take on the Oilers at 8:30.

Pittsburgh is looking to sweep the season series against Edmonton, having won the prior matchup on October 24 by a score of 2-1 in OT. They’re also looking for their first victory on their five-game road trip, having lost 2-1 to Minnesota and 7-1 to Winnipeg over the weekend.

Evgeni Malkin leads the Pens in points with 13 (tied with Phil Kessel) heading into tonight. Despite his personal successes, however, Malkin said after practice on Tuesday that the Penguins’ inconsistency is simply a matter of “not playing right”:

Mayor Quay said the police department is having discussions with the superintendent of schools concerning having sporting events with Aliquippa without fans in attendance or banning Aliquippa from playing in Beaver falls.
