Midland Council To Consider Food Truck Permits Ordinance Tonight

Tonight Midland borough council will review an ordinance that would require food trucks to obtain a permit before selling meals in the borough. Under the proposed ordinance, the borough’s code enforcement officer would have to issue permits to the food trucks. The ordinance will be discussed during tonight’s meeting, scheduled for 6 p.m. at the borough offices. Beaver County Radio’s Greg Benedetti will be there and will have a full report on A.M. Beaver County tomorrow morning beginning at 6:30 a.m.

Chili Cook-Off Returns To Brady’s Run Lodge On April 19

The Rochester Chamber of Commerce is holding its annual Chili Cook-Off on April 19 at the Brady’s Run Lodge. Chamber member Norm Ely spoke to Matt Drzik during A.M. Beaver County to discuss this year’s event, as well as other things that the Chamber is planning throughout the spring and summer.

Meeting Planned In Aliquippa Tonight To Focus On Shell Pipeline

ANYONE WISHING TO LEARN MORE ABOUT SHELL PIPELINE COMPANY’S PROPOSED FALCON ETHANE PIPELINE…IS INVITED TO ATTEND A MEETING TONIGHT HOSTED BY THE CLEAN AIR COUNCIL. THE 94-MILE PIPELINE WILL FEED ETHANE INTO SHELL’S SIX-BILLION-DOLLAR CRACKER PLANT ON THE BANKS OF THE OHIO RIVER IN POTTER TOWNSHIP. THE INFORMAL PUBLIC MEETING WILL BE HELD AT UNCOMMON GROUNDS IN ALIQUIPPA FROM 6 TO 7:30. IT WILL INCLUDE SEVERAL PEOPLE WHO HAVE PREVIOUSLY WORKED IN THE PIPELINE INDUSTRY…BUT NOBODY FROM SHELL IS EXPECTED TO BE IN ATTENDANCE. Two People Hurt In Conway Shooting

Police have one suspect in custody and are looking for a second after two people were injured in a shooting Tuesday afternoon in Conway. The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. inside a home in the 1300 block of Fourth Avenue. According to police, one of the victims was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital in critical condition. He was shot in the head. A second person had a finger injury. It’s unclear if that person was shot. That victim was taken to a local hospital by ambulance and has since been released and was interviewed by police last night. The suspect that was taken into custody was arrested at the nearby Conrail Yard. Officials say the shooting appears to be drug-related.
