Debbie Sample, Berkshire Hathaway, talks Make a Wish Yard Sale on Teleforum

Debbie Sample, Manager /Associate Broker of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services was a guest on Teleforum with Frank Sparks on Tuesday May 16,2017.  Debbie joined Frank and guest co-host Diane Brosius to talk about the upcoming Make a Wish Yard Sale June 2 and 3 at the Berkshire Hathaway office 877 Corporation Street in Beaver.  Debbie told Frank and Diane of the many items that have been donated and that they are still in need of donations for the sale. This will be the 21 st year that Berkshire Hathaway, fomerly the Prudential Preferred Reality and the Garvin Agency, have held the yard sale. Berkshire Hathaway has contributed to 21 children receiving their wish through the foundation. Last year the yard sale raised over 9 Thousand Dollars. 19th Salvation Army Spring Gala Set For June 2nd

Beaver County Salvation Army officer Richard Lyle stopped by A.M. Beaver County to discuss this year’s Spring Gala held by the organization. This year’s event will be held at Seven Oaks Country Club, and will have an “Italian Holiday” theme to the fundraiser.

Construction Begins On Route 68 In Industry

CONSTRUCTION ALONG ROUTE 68 IN INDUSTRY HAS BEGUN…WHICH MEANS THE ROADWAY IS NOW DOWN TO ONE LANE. THE CLOSURE – WHICH WENT INTO EFFECT YESTERDAY MORNING – COULD CAUSE TRAFFIC DELAYS IN THE AREA FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL MONTHS. IT IS ALSO ON THE SAME ROUTE TAKEN DAILY BY TRUCKS SUPPLYING CONCRETE TO BUILD SHELL CHEMICALS’ 6-BILLION-DOLLAR ETHANE CRACKER PLANT. SHELL REPRESENTATIVES ARE MEETING WITH PENNDOT OFFICIALS THIS MORNING TO DECIDE WHETHER OR NOT TO CHANGE THE ROUTE THE CEMENT TRUCKS TAKE TO GET TO THE PLANT. PENNDOT EXPECTS THE PROJECT TO LAST UNTIL SEPTEMBER.

Woman Swerves To Avoid Deer, Crashes Over Embankment In New Sewickley Township

A woman crashed over an embankment this morning after she swerved to avoid hitting a deer in North Sewickley Township, investigators say. The accident was reported on River Road, near its intersection with Old River Road. The car was found wedged between several trees, which prevented it from going over a cliff. Crews had to cut open the side of the car to get the woman out. The unidentified woman was taken to a hospital to be treated for injuries, but she is expected to be OK.
