Rochester 13 vs OLSH 16 10-6-17

   

The undefeated Rochester Rams led OLSH in a low scoring contest throughout three quarters. Then with less than five minutes left OLSH scored and completed the two-point conversion to go up 14-13 with less than two minutes left. The rams were on the move in their end until a snap went through the endzone resulting in a safty. The final score was 16-13 OLSH upsetting the undefeated Rams.

Tonights game was hosted in Aliquippa where the quips came away with yet another shut out victory with a final of Clairton 0 Aliquippa 28. Tonights game was not only dominated by Aliquippa but also by the insane amount of penalty’s committed by both teams which still seemed to not affect Aliquippa remaining undefeated.

Beaver Area Nurse Joins Union-Led Puerto Rico Relief Efforts

A Beaver Area nurse has joined hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico. Wendy Snyder – an orthopedic nurse at Heritage Beaver Valley Hospital – has joined 200 skilled union members in a two-week relief trip to the island in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria. Kathy Stoddard is a nurse at Allegheny General Hospital and a member of SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania…and she says Snyder is one of the hundreds of volunteers from over 17 states to help in the relief effort:

The volunteers will return to Newark on October 18th.

 

BC Office On Aging Set To Hold Safety & Technology Fair On October 11

The Beaver County Office on Aging will be holding their Fall Safety, Emergency, & Computer Technology Fair on October 11 at the Beaver Valley Mall near the Center At The Mall in the Old Sears Corridor.

Angela Gentile, BCOA representative, joined Matt Drzik on A.M. Beaver County on October 6 to discuss the fair, including the local vendors coming in, and the process in which those in attendance will be learning about modern technology.

Beaver County Radio will also be at the October 11 fair, as Frank Sparks and Diane Brosius will be broadcasting live from the Mall from 10 until Noon. They will have the Prize Van and Personality Prize Wheel too!
