Rothfus Offers Response to President’s Executive Order on Border Policy
Rothfus Offers Response to President’s Executive Order on Border Policy
WASHINGTON – Congressman Keith Rothfus (PA-12), a member of the House Judiciary Committee, offered the following response to the Administration’s recent executive order addressing southern border policy:
“As a father of six, I am deeply committed to protecting the well-being and safety of all children,” said Congressman Rothfus. “I have told both my colleagues at the Republican Conference and President Trump that I know of young children who have been moved hundreds of miles from the southern border and housed in centers in Western Pennsylvania under the current system. This is unacceptable. I believe it is possible to uphold our nation’s laws and ensure border security while taking steps to keep families together during a difficult situation. I am glad to see the President take action to accomplish this where it is appropriate and consistent with law.”
