A man is charged with selling fentanyl to a police informant in New Brighton. The investigation into Robert Carpenter of Aliquippa began in January 2017 when the informant said they could purchase drugs from the suspect. The buy went down at Valley View Homes before the 34-year-old was picked up. The DA’s office charged Carpenter with possession with intent to deliver and other charges December 5th.
BEAVER COUNTY’S APPEAL OF ITS COURT-ORDERED PROPERTY REASSESSMENT HAS BEEN DENIED. ACCORDING TO A COMMONWEALTH COURT RULING RELEASED TUESDAY, COUNTY JUDGES MADE THE RIGHT DECISION WHEN THEY ORDERED BEAVER COUNTY OFFICIALS TO REASSESS ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY. COUNTY OFFICIALS NOW HAVE 30 DAYS TO DECIDE IF THEY WANT TO APPEAL TO THE STATE SUPREME COURT. IF THEY DON’T, THE COUNTY WILL MOVE FORWARD WITH ITS FIRST REASSESSMENT IN 36 YEARS.

In a game heard on WBVP, WMBA and TribLive Tom Hays and Bruce Fry had the call from Aliquippa High School. A game in which Aliquippa had all the momentum early in a defensive battle. They built a lead that was as big as 15 late in the third. Lincoln Park didn’t go down easily. They ended the 3rd quarter on an 7-0 run making it an eight point lead for Aliquippa entering the 4th. Lincoln park got two late free throws to tie the game to end regulation. In overtime Lincoln Park jumped ahead and never looked back taking the game by a final 73-69
