Strong Cash Flow Smooths Budget Work, But Not Wolf’s Agenda

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — With strong tax collections oiling the gears, Gov. Tom Wolf and top lawmakers are working under the hood of a new spending plan as they head into the final weeks before lawmakers break for summer. Front and center is an approximately $34 billion budget package that’s expected to pass before July 1. Meanwhile, the Democratic governor is pressing Republicans to take up at least a couple of his top agenda items before they leave the Capitol until September.

3rd Alligator Found In Pittsburgh In Less Than A Month

A third alligator has been found in a Pittsburgh neighborhood in less than a month. According to police, this one was found on a porch of a home in the 300 block of East Agnew Street in Carrick around 6:15 p.m. Police said they got the alligator into a box and took it to the Zone 3 Police Station, where they called animal control officers. Animal control then took the alligator to the Humane Animal Rescue in the East End. Police are investigating but say it appears to be unrelated to the previous two alligator incidents. The alligator was around 2 1/2 feet long. On Thursday, a five-foot long alligator was captured in Beechview. Back in May, a family who was fishing along the Monongahela River spotted an alligator.
