HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Demonstrators promising acts of civil disobedience are headed to Pennsylvania’s Capitol to protest state law that doesn’t limit how much in gifts lawmakers may accept from people seeking to influence them. The March on Harrisburg demonstrators say they plan the action Monday after walking 110 miles from Philadelphia over the past few days. Around two dozen members of the group were arrested two years ago in demonstrations calling on the Republican-controlled Legislature to pass a gift ban.

Two People Dead In Westmoreland County Crash
GREENSBURG, Pa. (AP) — A single-vehicle crash in Westmoreland County has left two people dead and another injured. Authorities say the crash in Hempfield was reported around 8:30 p.m. Sunday. The say the car driven by 33-year-old Marc Delissio, of Penn, went off the road, struck multiple trees and then overturned. Delissio and 22-year-old Kirstin Kerrigan, of Arona, were both killed in the crash. Another female passenger suffered undisclosed injuries and was flown to a hospital.

Monaca-Rochester Bridge Inspection Continues This Week in Beaver County
PennDOT District 11 is announcing inspection activities on the Monaca-Rochester Bridge (Route 18) over the Ohio River in Rochester and Monaca borough will continue today, Monday, May 6 weather permitting. Lane narrowing on the bridge will occur weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday, May 24. Two lanes will be maintained at all times on the bridge. Additionally, single-lane restrictions will occur on Ohio River Boulevard (Route 65/51) in both directions under the bridge as needed during the inspection. Crews from ms consultants, Inc. will conduct the inspection. Please use caution when driving through the area.

Beaver County Jail Inmate Accused Of Smearing Feces On Cell Wall
An inmate at Beaver County Jail is accused of smearing his own feces on his cell wall in an attempt to get it on corrections officers. Brion Harrison is facing felony harassment by a prisoner charges for the incident April 9th. Investigators say he smeared it on the food clot in the cell door. A preliminary hearing is set for June 3rd.
New Brighton Man Facing Charges Following Incident At Beaver Heritage Valley Hospital
A New Brighton man faces charges following an incident at Beaver Heritage Valley Hospital. 61 year old William Rose is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief. Rose allegedly assaulted a nursing supervisor and had to be subdued by a stun guy by police. Rose has a preliminary hearing scheduled for May 13.
