“God really put on my heart that I need to be that person that someone may not have.”

For the past two years, local worship leader Keenan Baker has strived to become that person that God called him to be, and his efforts have led him on many different spiritual ventures. One of those is returning to Beaver County this weekend, as Baker hosts his 2nd Annual Christian Cookout at Park Road Park in Ambridge on July 30 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm.

The cookout will feature traditional fare like hamburgers, hot dogs, and pizza (courtesy of Vocelli Pizza), along with chicken tenders, cotton candy, and other desserts. There will be live music and a bouncy castle for the entertainment, and citizens of all ages are welcome to attend.

“I tried to have an event where it’s like everyone could just come connect with each other,” Baker said. “I try to bring a bunch of different pastors, entrepreneurs, and just people doing things in life. It’s an event, like…if someone’s lost and doesn’t know what to do next, there’s someone there they can talk to; to help them on their steps, a way to get to where they need to be in life.”
