Grove Cemetery in New Brighton will be hosting a Wine & Cheese Tasting on Saturday, September 17 from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Merrick Art Gallery. Vice President Bryan Fabyanic joined Matt Drzik on the September 15 edition of A.M. Beaver County to talk about this event, now in its fifth year.

Proceeds for the event will help the non-profit cemetery maintain operations as it has done since the late 1850s. Fabyanic said that he wants to see Grove Cemetery remain in operation under its localized board as opposed to being under the supervision of an official municipality. “Nothing against the municipalities; they just don’t have the time or manpower,” Fabyanic said. “So it’s nice when you can keep a good group of board members and volunteers together to keep the cemetery going.”
