Bill Steel Talks About The 77th Annual Big Knob Fair

For 77 years, Beaver County residents of all ages have descended upon the Big Knob Grange in New Sewickley Township for the annual end-of-summer tradition of the Big Knob Fair. And as the 77th edition sets to kick off to the public on August 27th, it looks like there won’t be much change in that regard.

Bill Steel, who heads the Big Knob Fair Committee, joined Matt Drzik on A.M. Beaver County to discuss the grand traditions that are coming back–such as the homemade cooking, livestock sale, and the opening ceremonies on Tuesday–as well as the things one may not have been aware of, such as the wine competition and the (new) kids’ demolition derby.

For more information on this year’s event, check out their website here. Beaver County Radio will be broadcasting live from 6 until 8 on Opening Night this Tuesday.
