Beaver Falls Winterfest & Annual Holiday Parade Set For November 24

As per tradition for the last 30 years, Thanksgiving Weekend will welcome the Christmas season to Beaver Falls as Santa prepares to enter the city at the end of the annual parade. But instead of just milk and cookies (and parade candy), the city will be welcoming him with grilled cheese, carnival games, and rock’n’roll.

This year presents the first ever Beaver Falls Winterfest, presented by the BF Business District Authority as well as the city itself. The festivities will take place on 13th Street between 7th & 8th Avenue next to the Carnegie Library. There will be no fewer than 6 food trucks open, there will be children’s games and activities, and musical entertainment provided by the Blackhawk Academy Choir and For Those About To Rock Academy.

Winterfest organizers Paula Durish, Nancy Valentine-Jones, and Chris Kosanovich joined Matt Drzik on A.M. Beaver County to discuss this year’s Winterfest, as well as the details for the 30th Annual Beaver Falls Lighted Christmas Parade. The parade will kick off at 6, and Santa will be traveling to SantaLand after the parade at the Winterfest site. The food trucks will stay open throughout the parade.
