The Wright Promise is looking for volunteers for SummerFest 2026. SummerFest helps students start the school year with confidence by providing essential back-to-school resources, encouragement, and community support. The entire event is designed to support students and families who may need additional experience preparing for the upcoming school year.

Transit Authority

The Beaver County Transit Authority will hold a public hearing on Monday, August 10, 2026, at 4:00 pm to receive public comments regarding proposed service changes to BCTA’s “Connect” service. Service changes and fare changes, which if approved, would take place Tuesday, September 8, 2026. The hearing will be held in the Board Room of the BCTA Transportation Center, located at 200 West Washington Street, Rochester, PA 15074.

Proposed “Connect” Service Changes

• Add Saturday “Connect” service between the hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Add In-County “Connect” service as a feeder into BCTA’s Fixed Route System at Park & Ride locations
• Add Out-of-County “Connect” service zone to include portions of Robinson Town Center and North Fayette
• New fare structure range of $4.00 – $7.00 based on mileage
