(Harrisburg, PA) According to a release in Harrisburg today from the Pennsylvania State Police, in line with the Shapiro Administration’s commitment to keeping Pennsylvanians safe, the PSP released traffic enforcement and crash statistics for the 2025 Christmas holiday travel period today. The PSP investigated 1,007 vehicle crashes between December 24th and 28th, 2025, and six of them resulted in fatalities. It was identified that impaired driving was a factor in 53 of those crashes. Troopers also arrested 207 individuals for driving under the influence during that five-day holiday weekend and issued 1,502 citations for speeding, 155 citations for failing to wear a seat belt and ten citations for not securing children in safety seats.
