Beaver @ Blackhawk Game Clips

In the WBVP Game of the Week, the 8-1 Blackhawk Cougars hosted the 7-2 Beaver Bobcats in a 4A Northeast Conference Match-Up. South Fayette already earned the top seed in the conference playoffs. The winner of this game would become the second seed and the loser of this game would become third seed. Both teams had already secured their spots in the WPIAL playoffs, but the winner of the game would earn home field advantage in the first round. Blackhawk’s 2018 season is considered historic as it marked the career start of new Head Coach Zack Hayward. A life-long Beaver Falls Native, Hayward attended Blackhawk School District and graduated from Geneva College. Beaver Head Coach Jeff Beltz hopes to finish his 19th season with a playoff championship for the Class of 2019.

At the same time, WMBA’s Jason Colangelo and Bruce Frey called the Aliquippa @ Central Valley Game. Undefeated Aliquippa had been putting up an average of over 60 points per game and shutting out other teams’ offenses. Central Valley, on the other hand, had a record of 4-5 and many frustrations early in the season. Going into the CV game, Aliquippa had scored enough points to enact the “mercy rule” in every game of the regular season.
