This Week’s Best Of Beaver County Provided A Pair Of Perspectives

(Beaver County, PA) The Best of Beaver County is easy to discover; it’s right on your radio!  Tune in every Thursday from 11 to 11:30 A.M.  for “The Best of Beaver County”, an innovative radio program on WBVP and WMBA presented by St. Barnabas.

The Best of Beaver County focuses on those who making the County the best that it can be for residents and themselves alike, and the August 8 edition was no exception. Host Jim Roddey brought on a pair of guests who represent different mediations of American life, and the intricacies and stories that come with it.

PA State Representative Jim Marshall (right) talked about how his upbringing shaped who he is today.

First was PA State Representative Jim Marshall, who talked about his family’s roots in Beaver Falls and the Big Beaver Borough, his political views that shape his life, and his accomplishments during his tenure in Harrisburg.

From the current political climate to the celebration of historic culture: The second guest on the show was Melissa Moore from the Beaver County (Fort McIntosh) chapter of the Daughters Of The American Revolution. Melissa spoke about the history of Beaver County during the Revolutionary War, their group’s celebration of its past traditions, and the Daughters’ connections with other groups such as the Veterans’ Breakfast Club.
