Conor Sheary ended overtime rather quickly, scoring 16 seconds into the frame, and giving the Penguins a 5-4 overtime victory over the Sabres on Tuesday night at PPG Paints Arena. Sheary’s 2nd career OT goal (and 2nd of the night) gives Pittsburgh their 7th straight win over Buffalo, and their 12th in the last 13.
Phil Kessel scored his 4th goal in as many games, while Sidney Crosby tallied his first goal since October 20. Patric Hornqvist also tallied for the Pens, and Matt Murray made 28 saves.
The Penguins are now 6-0-1 at home this year; one of only two teams to not lose in regulation on home ice this season (Islanders). After the game, Crosby spoke about the importance of winning at home:

Pittsburgh will now travel to Ottawa for a Thursday night match before returning home Saturday to play Chicago.
