(Pittsburgh, PA) One of the members of the U.S. men’s hockey team that won a gold medal on Sunday at the 2026 Milano-Cortina Winter Olympic Games in Italy was Pittsburgh native Vincent Trocheck. Trochek played youth hockey with the Pittsburgh Hornets. Trochek plays for the NHL’s New York Rangers, whose head coach is former Pittsburgh Penguins coach Mike Sullivan. Sullivan also won a gold medal as the U.S. men’s hockey team’s head coach.
