WBVP and WMBA partner with area motorcyclists to raise money for McGuire Memorial.

(Beaver County, PA) The annual “Run For McGuire, A Special Ride For Special People”, is set to take place on Sunday August 7, 2016. Beaver County Radio, WBVP and WMBA are pleased to organize and sponsor the charity event which is expected to draw dozens of motorcycle drivers and riders. All net proceeds generated from the ride will be donated to the ongoing mission of inspiring hope and fostering growth for the special people served by McGuire Memorial. Last year’s ride raised over $2,000.

This year’s route is an exciting 60 mile trek that starts at WBVP-WMBA, 1316 7th Avenue in Beaver Falls, then heads north into Lawrence County before stopping for a visit at McGuire Memorial in Daugherty Township and then traversing to the southern parts of Beaver County through Aliquippa, Raccon Township, Brighton Township and eventually reaching the final destination in Brady’s Run Park. Registration begins at 9 A.M., with the ride commencing shortly after 11 A.M. Jim Siget from the Beaver Falls Police Department will provide a motorcycle police escort. Registration forms can be downloaded and printed by visiting www.beavercountyradio.com. The $15 donation for drivers and $10 donation for passengers includes a fantastic picnic following the ride with food provided by Texas Roadhouse in Monaca, PA. The first 200 participants will receive free “Goodie Bags”. Tee Shirts commemorating this year’s ride will also be available for $15 each, or two for $25. Drawings for prizes will also be conducted at the picnic celebration following the ride.

Opening Ceremonies will begin at 10:30 A.M. in front of the radio stations and feature a “Blessing of the Bikes” by McGuire Memorial Chaplain Father Michael Grebb. State Representatives Jim Marshall and Jim Christiana are also scheduled to offer words of encouragement to the riders during the brief program.
