Veronica “Ronie” L. Giesy, 68, of the Northside of Pittsburgh, passed away on October 11th, 2026. She was born on January 2nd, 1958, a daughter of the late Edward and Helen Wasko.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Michelle Peasner, Edward Wasko, and Richard Wasko.

She is survived by her children, Shannon (Jason) Simms, Erin (Richard) Stark, and Christopher (Stephanie) Giesy, her siblings, Cynthia Fox, Annette Kumpfmiller, and James Purvis, her grandchildren: Tyler and Jason Simms, Kenneth Terlecki Jr., Richard Kostyzak III, and Evelyn Kostyzak, with another grandchild on the way, numerous nieces and nephews and her special friend, Jesse Gable.

Veronica was a free spirit who enjoyed spending time socializing with family and friends. She was a friend to many and was known for her big heart and genuine care for others. She cherished her children and grandchildren above all. She was a hard worker who appreciated the outdoors and found joy in nature and had a fascination with the supernatural.

In accordance with Veronica’s wishes, services will be private.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Alvarez-Hahn Funeral Services and Cremation, LLC, 547 8th Street, Ambridge.
