Roland G. McClinton, Sr., 86, of South Beaver Township, passed away at his son’s residence on September 1st, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born at his home in South Beaver Township on January 20th, 1940, a son of the late Glenn and Bernice (Young) McClinton.

She is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Carol (Phillips) McClinton, his children, Roland (Colleen) McClinton Jr., Denise (Thomas) McKenzie, and Randy (Stacy Fuller) McClinton, his five cherished grandchildren: Tyler (Julie) McKenzie, Lauren McClinton, Austin (Sydney Schipani) McClinton, Morgan (Tom) Broady, and Brooke McClinton; as well as his three great-grandchildren, Cormac, Silas, and Colter, his siblings, Bonnie Diamond, Marjorie Henderson, and Richard McClinton, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Roland was a hardworking man who enjoyed staying active throughout his life. He spent his career with B&W Steel and Koppel Steel, retiring at the age of 65. However, retirement did not slow him down. He continued working by cutting grass at Rolling Acres Golf Course until just last summer. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, fishing and especially tending to his garden. He was also a devoted Pittsburgh Steelers fan and proudly helped co-found the South Beaver Baseball League. He was a member of Highland VFW Post 5945 and enjoyed being part of his community. Above all else, his greatest joy was his family, and he absolutely adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who held a very special place in his heart.

Friends will be received on Saturday, September 5th from 1 P.M. until the time of services at 4 P.M. in the GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, Inc., 117 Blackhawk Road Beaver Falls, who was in charge of his arrangements.

Private interment will take place at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, 273 PA-68, Rochester.
