June E. Wagner (1940-2026)

June E. Wagner, 86, of Ambridge, passed away peacefully on October 4th, 2026. She born on June 17th, 1940, a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Komlos.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Eugene “Gene” Wagner, her daughters, Karen (George) Franchois and Ellen (Adam) Gustetic, her sister, Nancy (Robert) Hinds, her brother, George (Dolores) Komlos, her grandson, Andrew Gustetic, four nephews, and many friends.

June was a graduate of Ambridge High School and went on to attend Penn State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Education. She dedicated more than 30 years of her life to educating students as a teacher in the Ambridge Area School District. She was a devoted member of Saint Luke the Evangelist Parish in Ambridge and was a proud Penn State football fan. June found great joy in the simple things in life, but above all, she cherished her family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who especially adored her grandson, Andrew. Her love, kindness, and dedication to those around her will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th, from 3:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Alvarez-Hahn Funeral Services and Cremation, LLC, 547 8th Street, Ambridge, who was in charge of her arrangements. Departing prayers will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, October 9th, at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 A.M. at Good Samaritan Church, 725 Glenwood Avenue, Ambridge. Burial will be private.
