Edward Carl Podany, 93 of Sewickley, passed away peacefully on August 26th, 2026 at Masonic Village of Sewickley.

He was born in Pittsburgh on October 5th, 1932, the son of the late Edward and Victoria (Gunnerson) Podany.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Mabel Louis Podany.

He is survived by his three children, Vicky Bardell and her husband (Steve), Edward W. Podany, and Lisa Royster and her husband (Berkley), four grandchildren: Jim Wilson, Tim Cope, Victoria Trummer and Eric Neiman; as well as 9 great-grandchildren who will carry his memory forward.

Edward retired from J&L Steel in 1984 after 32 years of dedicated service. He was also a long-time member of New Bethlehem Presbyterian Church and was a proud member of the Coraopolis Lodge #674 Free and Accepted Masons for 65 years.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, September 1st from 11 a.m. until the time of a Funeral Service at 1 p.m. at Huntsman Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Aliquippa, 2345 Mill Street, Aliquippa, who was in charge of his arrangements.

Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, 450 Penn Avenue, Aliquippa.
