David Mehera, 78, of Economy, passed away peacefully on September 17th, 2026.

He was born on August 23rd, 1948, a son of the late Flora and Peter Mehera. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Sam Mehera, his grandson, Dustin Mehera and his step-grandson, Darian Phillips.

David is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Jackie (Hettish) Mehera, his children, Denise (Dennis) Flood and Darin Mehera, his stepchildren, Ed (Kendra) Phillips, Tara Phillips and Dawn (Mike) Phillips, his granddaughters, Mackenzie (Brad) Johannsen and Marissa Flood, his step-grandchildren, Emma Phillips and Olivia Phillips and numerous extended family members and friends.

David worked as a caseworker for the Beaver County Assistance Office. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War as a member of the United States Air Force. He was also dedicated to his community and was involved with many organizations throughout the years. He ran the Beaver County Conservation League and served as an officer with the Aliquippa Elks. He was a member of the VFW in Hopewell, the Baden American Legion, the South Side Sportsman Club, the Ambridge Sportsman Club and was a hunter safety instructor.

David was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved spending time in the great outdoors. He was also an excellent cook and took great pleasure in preparing meals for his family and friends. In his free time, he enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and NASCAR, with Dale Earnhardt being his favorite driver. When he was younger, he also enjoyed racing cars himself.

He and Jackie shared a love of traveling, and one of their special traditions was traveling together to Germany to experience Oktoberfest. He cherished the memories they made together and the time spent with his family.

He will be remembered for his love of family, his service to his country and community, and the many interests and passions that brought him joy throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Memorial Visitation for David will be announced at a later date.
