Darlene H. Dunbar, 85, of New Sewickley Township, passed away on April 1st, 2025 at her home. She was born in Rochester on June 17th, 1939, a daughter of the late Earl R. and Ernestine Owen Holzworth. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Holzworth and one sister, Margaret “Peggy” Scarsella. She is survived by her husband, John W. “Jack” Dunbar, two daughters and sons-in-law, Laurie D. and Brian Frank and Deborah L. and David Hogue, all of Rochester Township, one son, John E. Dunbar of New Sewickley Township, seven grandchildren: Tiffany Wise and her husband Donald, Brian Frank and his wife Charissa, John Dunbar and his wife Jory, Kelly Frank, Sundae Reid and Kendall, Destiny Dunbar and Autumn Hunter; as well as nine great-grandchildren, a brother-in-law, Chuck Scarsella and numerous nieces and nephews.

Darlene was formerly working with JC Penney Department Store in sales and was a former secretary with Murray Realtor Company and Troia Optometry in Monaca. She was also a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rochester. Friends will be received on Thursday, April 3rd from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the William Murphy Funeral Home, Inc., 349 Adams Street, Rochester, where a service will be held Friday, April 4th at 11 A.M. Her pastor, Rev. Gregory S. Clagg, will officate. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, 1101 9th Street Extension, Freedom. The family wishes memorial contributions be made to Good Samaritan Hospice, 146 Neely School Road, Wexford, PA 15090.
