Chester Delon 81, of Hopewell Township, passed away on March 31st, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at Apple Blossom Memory Care.
He was born on July 24, 1943, a son of the late Chester and Genevieve Dobiczyski. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Delon. For 57 years, Chester was the beloved husband of Paula Delon, who he leaves to celebrate his life with their sons, daughters-in-law and grandchildren. He was a devoted father to his sons, Gerry (April) Delon and Michael (Lisa) Delon. He was also a loving “Pappy” to Jake, Hannah and Jordyn. He is also survived by a brother, Gerald (Barb) Delon and a special nephew, Mark Delon.
Chester proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1961-1964. He was a graduate of Robert Morris University. He gained employment with Michael Baker Corporation as an accountant and worked there for numerous years.
Chester was a devoted husband and father, always ready to support his children. His grandchildren brought him great joy, and he loved attending their activities.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Lauren and the staff at Apple Blossom Memory Care and to Suncrest Hospice, especially R.J., who is a wonderful nurse. They are most grateful for your kind and compassionate care.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 9th, at St. Margaret and Mary Church, 1 Parish Place, Coraopolis, PA 15018.
Memorial donations, if desired, may be directed to the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa PA 15001 in memory of Chester.
