Charlotte Alsko (Passed on March 28th, 2025)

Charlotte Alsko, 90, a lifelong resident of Harmony Township, passed away peacefully on March 28th, 2025.

She was born in Sewickley, the daughter of the late Anthony J. Sr. and Clara (Sochacka) Alsko, Charlotte was a cherished sister, aunt, and friend. She was the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death by her brothers, Anthony Alsko Jr., Daniel Alsko, and Raymond Alsko Sr.

She retired from Hussey Copper in Leetsdale, where she was known for her strong work ethic. This was a trait she endeavored to instill in her family members. Charlotte’s commitment to her work was matched only by her devotion to her faith as a long-standing member of the Good Samaritan Catholic Church in Ambridge, formerly known as St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

Though she was the last of her siblings, Charlotte’s legacy continues through her sister in law, Judith Alsko, her beloved nieces and nephews: Raymond B. Alsko Jr. (Amy), Carrie Alsko Hartman (Wayne), Robert Alsko and Barbara Alsko. She took immense joy in spending time with her great-nieces and great-nephew, Lauren, Leah, Ashley, and Adam.

Charlotte was often found enjoying the simple pleasure of sitting on her porch.

In honoring Charlotte’s life, those reflect on the joy she brought to their lives and the example she set for everyone.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 12th at 10 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1409 Pennsylvania Avenue, Monaca, with Rev. Father Canice McMullen as the celebrant. Interment will follow in Good Samaritan Cemetery in Ambridge. Recitation of the rosary will take place at 9:30 a.m. at the church.

The family would like to give special thanks for the friendship and services of Tiffany York, Esq. for all her guidance she provided our family at our time of need. The family also thanks the staff of Providence Health and Rehab Center as well as Good Samaritan Hospice who provided Charlotte with loving care.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Charlotte’s memory if desired to St. Vincent DePaul Society, c/o Mary, Queen of Saints Parish.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.
