Bobby Spencer, 62, formerly of Monaca, passed away on August 18, 2026, at his home in East Liverpool, Ohio, following a house fire.
He was a beloved son of Marie Trella of Monaca and the late James Robert Spencer, Sr. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Steven Spencer, several grandchildren and his four siblings: LuAnn, Lori, Lynn, and Johnny. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
Bobby was especially known for his love of automobiles. He was a true car enthusiast, and that passion was a defining part of his life for many years. As a young man in his twenties, he loved car racing and found excitement in the speed, sound, and spirit of the sport. That early enthusiasm stayed with him throughout his life and became one of the great joys he carried into adulthood. He especially enjoyed repairing and painting cars at his home, where he could spend hours working with his hands and bringing vehicles back to life.
A memorial celebration of life service will be held on Monday, August 24th at 5 p.m. at the Redeemer Trinity Lutheran Church, 819 Washington Avenue, Monaca, followed by a wake at 6 p.m. at the church’s social hall.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpson Funeral and Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.
Memorial contributions in Bobby’s memory made to his family to defray funeral expenses would be appreciated.
