Bernice Kate (Lalli) Holcombe, 91, formerly of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 27th, 2026, at Rochester Manor and Villa.

She was born in Calumet, Minnesota on August 23rd, 1935, a daughter of the late Axel and Lila (Kinnunen) Lalli.

Bernice devoted many years of her life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse at Phoenix General Hospital. Her compassionate nature and desire to help those around her were evident throughout both her career and her life. After moving to Pennsylvania, she found a church home at Pathway Church in Beaver Falls, where her faith became an important part of her life. She was a devoted member of the church, faithfully participating in the Prime Timers and happily attending Women’s Ministry Bible Study. She treasured the fellowship and friendships she found through her church community.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved first husband, Rev. James Rath, her second husband, John Holcombe, her sister, Alice Gang and her brother, Allan Lalli.

She is survived by her loving children: Lisa (David) Bachman, Michael (Julie) Rath, Andrew (Peggy) Rath, and Brian (Kim) Rath; as well as seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, her brothers, Lester (Cecilia) Lalli and Jacob Lalli, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

In accordance with Bernice’s wishes, a Celebration of Life will be held a later date.

The GABAUER-LUTTON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 117 Blackhawk Road, Beaver Falls, was honored to care for Bernice and her family during this difficult time and was the funeral home that was in charge of her arrangements.
