Yianni’s Re-Opens In Aliquippa

Yianni’s Restaurant  located at 2203 Sheffield Road , Aliquippa was destroyed by fire on June 22, 2016, and reopened March 3 after a complete rebuilding.,  according to Beaver County Radio News Correspondent Sandy Giordano .  The cause was electrical, a cooler refrigerator  caught fire, according to  Demetrios Pantzoulas, son of Yianni and  Bassie Pantzoulas, the owners.  The establishment was rebuilt in eight  months.  Demetrios said that they added 30 more seats  and business is good, there was a lot of support from the city after the fire, and without the first responders , it would have been tough. Demetrios said that the business’s insurance covered all of  the costs to rebuild , they’ve been located there since 1994.  “It’s new, it’s clean, it’s what we needed here, everyone can come here and meet.”  It was  very busy Sunday morning, they specialize in breakfast   all seats were filled and waitresses were taking and delivering orders to the tables where hungry patrons sat. Hours are 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. 7 days a week, a complete  breakfast menu, and great lunch specials , They are known for their burgers, soups, (all homemade), salads and 16 ounce fish sandwich., Demetrios said. A plaque on the wall says ‘HAPPINESS IS HOMEMADE”  Many happy faces filled the restaurant on Sunday. Demetrios owns Scoops and More, across from the Old Tonidale  Hotel in Robinson Township, along with working with his parents.
