Wesley Family Services receives grant of more than $950,000 for senior citizens to help mentor and tutor kids as well as to help kids as their caregivers

(Carnegie, PA) According to a release from Congressman Chris Deluzio’s office, $959,844 in funding from AmeriCorps Seniors Foster Grandparent Program has been awarded to Wesley Family Services. This funding was one of sixteen awards totaling $6,627,227 across the state of Pennsylvania and it will help senior citizens to be caregivers, mentors and tutors for kids. The money came from AmeriCorps, which promotes volunteerism and national service as a federal agency. Wesley Family Services is a southwestern Pennsylvania based regional behavioral health provider with Wilkinsburg being the location of its main office.
