WASHINGTON (AP) — Elizabeth Warren says she’ll create a federal task force to investigate corruption during the Trump administration if she’s elected president. The Massachusetts senator on Tuesday released a plan that her campaign says will “restore integrity and competence” to government after President Donald Trump. Warren says the task force would be within the Justice Department and would hold the previous administration’s officials “accountable for illegal activity.” All top Democratic presidential hopefuls have decried corruption in the Trump administration. Warren’s proposal seeks to provide a blueprint for how to roll back Trump’s influence. Trump campaigned on a promise to “drain the swamp“ and claims he’s been successful in doing so.
