Two teenagers hit by gunfire from shooting that occurs in Aliquippa

(Aliquippa, PA) Two teenagers were hit by gunfire from a shooting that occurred in Aliquippa yesterday evening. Beaver County dispatchers confirm that police and medics were called to Valley Terrace Apartments on the 400 block of Superior Avenue at 6:07 p.m. for reports of a shooting. Pennsylvania State Police in Beaver stated in a release this morning that nineteen-year-old Kenneth Evans, Jr. of Aliquippa was found at the scene suffering from a gunshot wound and he was transported by an ambulance to a trauma center in Pittsburgh. Evans is expected to recover from his injuries. However, a sixteen-year-old was also hit by a round of shots, which caused a superficial wound that was non-life threatening. The investigation into this incident is ongoing, and anyone with information about it is encouraged to call 724-773-7400.
