(Pittsburgh, PA) Two people were attacked by a dog in Pittsburgh yesterday. According to Pittsburgh Police, Animal Care and Control officers were called to the 8400 block of Dersam Street in East Hills at 2:30 p.m. for reports of the attack. A man who was the dog’s owner was bitten in the hand and a female neighbor was also bitten by the same dog. She was taken to a hospital by an ambulance and the owner drove himself to a hospital. Police confirm that neither of the people who were bitten suffered life-threatening wounds. The dog was taken to an emergency veterinary facility and police state that it will be euthanized. Another dog which lived with its owner who was hurt was taken to Humane Animal Rescue of Pittsburgh.
