A correctional officer and an inmate are dead following a brief altercation at Luzerne County Correctional Facility in Wilkes-Barre last night. Luzerne county manager David Pedri confirmed the deaths but did not comment on how the two died. Officials have identified the dead inmate as 27-year-old Tracy Gilliam. They have not released the name of the correctional officer.
