(Robinson Township, PA) A local school district is now taking action after a weapons-related incident occurred at an elementary school. Montour School District Superintendent Christopher Stone stated in a letter to guardians and parents that a student was found with a knife on Wednesday at Montour Elementary School. Stone confirmed that school administration immediately investigated, followed response protocol and secured the knife. There is no threat to the school community at this time and Stone also wrote in the same letter: “Appropriate disciplinary action is being taken in accordance with District Policy and state law.”
