(Baden, PA) The Sisters of Saint Joseph are welcoming folks in Beaver County to join them for a ceremony on September 8th that will celebrate them and their accomplishments where they made a historical marker for Pennsylvania in Baden. According to a press release, the Sisters of Saint Joseph, who initiated the process of bringing the first ever historic marker to Baden, which honors the contributions of religious women in Beaver County, as well as the first recognizing a women-led organization of any kind. The historical marker is on State Street and Route 65, which displays the entrance of the Baden Motherhouse. Those speaking include from state Rep. Robert Matzie, a member of the Pennsylvania History and Museum Commission; the Most Rev. Bishop David Zubik, and congregational archivist Kathleen Washy.
