(Pittsburgh, Pa.) Today is the third anniversary of the shootings at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Squirrel Hill. A special hour-long ceremony will take place to honor the 11 victims that were killed by Robert Bowers on that fateful Saturday morning.
The focus of this year’s remembrance is unity, hope, and looking towards the future.
The outdoor ceremony begins at 4:30 p.m. on Prospect Drive in Schenley Park. It’ll take place near a grove of trees that were planted this April in memory of the 11 victims. There will be music, prayer, rituals, and healing.
