(New Brighton, Pa.) New Brighton Borough Council met for their monthly meeting last Thursday, June 16, 2022 and adopted a resolution that permits police to participate in the Beaver County Highway Safety Task Force. Officers who participate will be paid by the borough and the borough will receive reimbursement from the county.
The business district authority and Leadership Beaver County in conjunction with the school district held a contest at each of the New Brighton schools for a picture to painted and one winner from each school was was chosen. A painter will be commissioned by the authority to paint the pictures as a continuation outside Big Rock Park heading towards the Fish Park on First Avenue. Recreation and Community Life chairman Valerie McElvy brought the chosen paintings to the meeting for review by council.
