(Pittsburgh, PA) U.S. Senators John Fetterman and Dave McCormick sent letters to five universities in Pennsylvania to tell them to make sure that organizations on their campuses that are Jewish get what they need to protect the students that are served by those organizations. Fetterman and McCormick sent letters to the University of Pittsburgh, Penn State University, the University of Pennsylvania, Lehigh University and Temple University with this message on August 28th, 2025 because of a record number of anti-semitic incidents on campuses. These universities have the largest populations of Jewish students in the state of Pennsylvania. This message also comes prior to two years since the war between Hamas and Israel began, which was October 7th, 2023.
