(Robinson Township, PA) Robinson Township Solicitor Jack Cambest confirmed to KDKA yesterday that Steve Pies, who worked as a Robinson Township police officer, got fired last week. The reason that Pies got fired was because he got charged for being connected to an alleged road rage attack in Robinson Township on July 2nd, 2025. Pies accused Al Canella of cutting him off that day. Canella owns Al’s Texaco on Forest Grove Road Pies followed Canella on Forest Grove Road and got accused of breaking the ribs of Cannella and punching Cannella in the face. Pies allegedly had a confrontation with Cannella in a parking lot and said curse words to him and after allegedly punching Cannella in the face, Cannella became unconscious temporarily after he fell. Pies was also off-duty at the time of the attack. Pies received charges of a misdemeanor count of simple assault and a felony count of aggravated assault for his alleged crime.
