(Philadelphia, PA) According to a recent post on the website for Rite-Aid, the company will be closing all of its stores. In May of 2025, Rite-Aid filed for bankruptcy, which was the second time that the company filed for bankruptcy in two years, because the first bankruptcy filing for Rite-Aid occurred in October of 2023.  $3.45 billion in fresh financing was obtained by Rite-Aid as a plan for restructuring was carried out by Rite-Aid. Rite-Aid also dealt with lawsuits related to opioids and decreasing sales. Rite-Aid was founded in 1962 and their headquarters is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The Rite-Aid website is still available, but it only has a service for former customers of Rite-Aid to find another pharmacy and a link to request records for pharmacies.
