(Pittsburgh, PA) Republican Thomas West, a businessman who owns a store for men’s clothing in Lawrenceville, has announced a run for the Pennsylvania 38th Senatorial District seat, currently held by Democrat Lindsey Williams. This district covers much of the North Hills and Allegheny River Valley communities in Allegheny County, which includes Ross Township, Sharpsburg, and Tarentum, along with Highland Park in Pittsburgh. West ran against Tony Moreno in the Republican primary election for the mayor of Pittsburgh on May 20th, 2025 and lost to Moreno that day. West made his announcement speech to run for this position yesterday in Pittsburgh.
