(Pittsburgh, PA) According to a release from TRIP, local roads and bridges in Pennsylvania will require increased investment to improve pavement and bridge conditions, enhance safety, and promote economic vitality across Pennsylvania. TRIP released a report on Thursday which concluded 38 percent of roads that are local in the Pittsburgh area are in poor condition. This includes Beaver County and seven other Pennsylvania counties. According to that same release from TRIP, here is the data from their recent report:
TRIP is a nonprofit based in Washington, D.C. that is involved in national transportation research that examines bridge conditions, pavement conditions and fatality rates on Pennsylvania roads that are local. “Pennsylvania’s Local Roads & Bridges: Providing a Modern, Sustainable Local Transportation System in the Keystone State” is the name of the TRIP report that was released on Thursday.
