A police chase ended with a crash near the Monaca Bridge this morning. The incident began when police tried to pull over Bryan Eakles for speeding on route 65. The car took off, reaching speeds of 100 mph at times. After the crash, police say Eakles ran off over a hillside. When police caught up with him, he had a seizure and was taken to the hospital. Eakles, who is originally from New Brighton, spent eight years behind bars for a stabbing in Florida. There was a warrant out for his arrest on charges that he violated his probation.
