(Pittsburgh, Pa.) Pittsburgh City Council Plans to Introduce legislation at today’s council meeting to regulate short-term rentals which includes Air BNBs.

This comes on the heels of the mass shooting that that occurred in Pittsburgh’s East Allegheny neighborhood at an air bnb Sunday that claimed the life of two 17-year-old males and injured eight others.

The proposed legislation would require property owners looking to rent properties short term to get a business license and a short-term rental license that would only be good for one year.  Property owners would also require a daily register of all guests in the building.
